I love to write and create. When I am not creating there is a huge part of me that is lacking an outlet. I need to create to be the best version of myself. Creating for me comes in the form of cooking, sometimes art (not that great or a self proclaimed artist even), and poetry or storytelling. I am an advocate for people making time for what they love in life. Also a major advocate for rest as you will see. I am a big proponent for mental health and wellness. I am fortunate enough now to be able to write full time and create.
I hope many people will learn to appreciate my work. However, I predict a lot of women will be drawn to my work. Hopefully women of color can resonate with what I have to say. My only goal is to make people feel seen and understood in their journeys too. I am not self-help, I am not here to tell anybody what to do.
I have spent the better part of the last couple of years trying to rid myself of titles and boxes. But for the sake of conventional labeling: I am a Mom, Wife, Writer, and lifelong Student. I love to read and I love to be outside. It always feels good to move my body and laugh with friends. My husband and my son are my whole world. I recently exited my corporate career to move to Spain with my little family. Doggos are here too! A lot of my current journey exists of learning Spanish, adapting to a new culture and sharing my findings and interpretations with my community from back home in San Diego, CA. One day, I may have a bigger perch to share but for now, I know whoever is meant to hear me will.
